I'm back and this is going to be dealt with a different approach for #13, as after several attempts have failed over the last week to get any kind of media rights to this resort, and I couldn't wait any longer. Believe me I really didn't want to make you all wait this long! So viola here we go let's continue counting down the Top 20 Resorts & Hotels Worldwide by Avenue Two Travel in 2021. Last week saw us back in Hawaii on the Island of Maui at the Four Seasons Maui as #14. Today we travel into the French Caribbean and call on the chic island of St. Barts, where our first of two resorts to make the countdown come to us from the amazing Eden Rock.

Welcome to Eden Rock St. Barts, as the general manager says in the above video. The Eden Rock was destroyed by the hurricane several years ago and had to be rebuilt and along with that rebuild came a whole new redesign & style. Some rooms were converted into villas and new public areas. Along with this came the resort management being sold to Oetker Collection. Oetker is a collection of very unique luxurious hotels in the world, and they are growing. Eden Rock is located on two beaches the first is the incredible lively beach of Saint Jean, home to Nikki Beach's famous St. Barts Beach Club, which is just steps away down the beach from the Eden Rock. The other is Eden Rock's beach. The 'new' Eden Rock 2.0 has less rooms than the original and this welcomes a smaller amount of guests. Suites have been either completely gutted and rebuilt or enlarged. The Celebrity Elite that call on St. Barts have stayed at Eden Rock, such as Rihanna, Leonardo Dicaprio among others. You don't have to be a celebrity to stay here! Though I guess that would help financially on the higher end suites/villas on site. Eden Rock is very trendy, and the employees all walk around in red & white outfits, which is the main color scheme thought the hotels grounds and public areas.
The entry level rooms are called Eden Rooms of which three are only three. These have private terraces with beautiful sea views of St. Jean Bay. You then have the Plantation Rooms, these are all on the ground floor of the Plantation Houses. You can walk right out onto the grounds & to the beach if wanted. They are slightly smaller than the Eden Rooms. Next up are the Beach Rooms these make up the 2nd story of the Plantation Houses, all have a nice beach terrace with seaview, these rooms are the same size as the Plantation Rooms below them. Then on the Rock itself you have the Rock Rooms these spacious rooms have a large panoramic seaview terraces, be aware each is individual designed and laid out from the other. So if you like a particular one you see online be sure to mention that to me when making a reservation. For there you move right into the numerous suites, beach houses & villas that are on option at Eden Roc. They are all designed differently and styled differently, and there are many. Below I've featured a selection of the Suites & Villas at Eden Rock.

The property has one restaurant The Sand Bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner this is the culinary center of the resort. Serving delicious casual breakfast & lunch, and then at dinner it is gourmet service. Eden Rock has two bars, the Remy Bar & Salon and the Beach Bar. The Remy being you trendy retro British Colonial vibe. The Beach Bar, is just that, a perfect place beachside or at your beach loungers to order drinks and soak up the sun. Being you are staying at Eden Rock, right outside your door just a short walk is the St. Jean village shopping and dining area, which offers a nice selection of alternate choices to dine, drink and shop the boutiques.
