It's Sunday and as I'm sitting here beginning my day of semi-leisure, I'm finally finding some time to write to all of you again.... and I missed it, so I'm glad to return to you! It's been an amazing first quarter, and during these 3 months in late Jan, I've secured a direct agreement for my agency clients for motorized luxury yachts on the Amalfi Coast. Perhaps you've already read about them on my website 'Yacht Charters of Italy' but now I'm getting around to making my readers & clients known, who were unaware until now.
This fleet of luxury motor yachts consist of yachts from size 35s all the way up to 72s. Some such as the smallest Gozzo 35 are day charters only, while other models can actually sleep up to 8 and be charted as sleeper charters and multi day charters in the region.
Destinations reachable as day charters consist of the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Ischia & Procida. Multi day charters can include preset itineraries to visit these destinations with overnights on the yacht you charter. Day charters start with a full 8 hour day from 10a-6pm, and can include additional hours if desired at added cost. Rates are seasonal with prices based on off season and the summer season.
Summer Season runs June-September when the peak prices apply to each yacht. While April, May and October offer lower charter rates for the off season. A charter days price is based out of Sorrento for most of the yachts, but some do offer a different base marina. To secure the lowest price I would need to arrange the charter from Sorrento. The captain will gladly bring any boat to Capri or anywhere on Amalfi Coast for pickup/dropoff but there is an added cost to arrange this, and that rate is due to the cost of additional fuel for that service and any docking fees these towns & marinas charge to pull up and load/off load the yacht. The bigger the yacht the more costly these pickup arrangements become.
The smaller Gozzo 35, can take a maximum of 6 people on a day charter, and does not offer any sleeping arrangements. Most of the motor yachts can take a maximum of 12 people for a day charter experience, and sleep up to 8 for overnights, though some can only sleep 2, 4 or 6. Chartering one of the yachts for overnights could replace the cost of a luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast. Especially when you are talking about family and or friends traveling together needing several rooms per night at a 5 star luxury hotel in Positano or elsewhere. As well a family & friends group looking for a daycharter in the region could all chip in and share the cost of one these amazing motor yachts.
Most of these motor yachts come with beautiful and luxurious living & dining areas, with plenty of room to relax indoors out of the sun in comfort, or lay out on the front or back on soft daybeds and get some rays. I can arrange to have you be wined in dined onboard, or you can opt to head off the yacht and have lunch at a beachclub or restaurant, and return after some day shopping!
Rates start at low 2,000s Euros for the Gozzo 35 as a day charter in the off season, and go up to over 8,000 Euro for a day charter of the Aicon 72SL in summer season. Most run somewhere in the middle, so you could count on a really nice luxury motor yacht charter for 3,500-5,500 Euro for a day. Prices for the charters are inclusive of the crew, 22% VAT, Port Fees (based on itinerary), all fuel cost for the day, full insurance of the charter yacht itself, use of snorkeling equipment for all guests, beach towels, light snacks and soft drinks, and a welcome aperitif. The charters are pre paid to my agency, and I'll take care of all arrangements for the day. I can arrange bottle service, and have all the wines ready for you when you board for the day, and can also take care of meal services onboard, or reservations off the yacht for lunch. I require a 65% deposit up front, and then the balance 30 days prior to sailing.
This way you go overseas and the charter is fully paid, and the only costs you need to take care of are the gratutity for the crew/captain of your charter. Added benefit is I will accept payment in US$ based on the exchange rate at the time of deposit/balance. My close professional friendship with the owners of this fleet has allowed me this oppertunity & agreement to contract the fleet to my clientele.
7 Days a week, within just minutes I can secure any one of these charters for my clients, by instantly verifying the availabilty of any yacht in the fleet and blocking it off for my clientele. Once I know the yacht is available, I will take deposit for the charter and secure your date/days.
While this is just one destination in Italy for luxury charters, I have access to charters on just about any coast in Italy such as in Sicily, Portofino, Venice, Puglia and more. In addition I have connections globally to charters in which I've chartered clients yachts in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Croatia & the Caribbean just to name a few.
