Maybe you've seen a sign at a luxury hotel or on an upscale cruise announcing, “Cocktail Party for Virtuoso Clients.”
If you’ve wondered who Virtuoso luxury travel advisors are, or how you become a Virtuoso client and join the party, read on.
Virtuoso is an exclusive network of high-end travel companies who work together to create customized vacations for luxury travelers. An American company founded in 1951, Virtuoso has deep connections in the luxury travel industry. Rather than having its own dedicated travel advisors, Virtuoso's network of "travel advisors" add up to over 15,000 luxury travel advisors are from over 400 independent travel agencies in 34 countries are Virtuoso members. The company also works with over 1,700 luxury travel providers such as hotels, airlines, cruise lines, car rental companies and high-end tour operators.
Virtuoso isn't a club that you the Individual luxury traveler can join. But travel advisors like me can be invited to. Virtuoso is invite only.
How Virtuoso Operates
Virtuoso works as a connector between me (a luxury advisor on one hand, and travel-industry partners on the other. I create exclusive vacations drawing on the Virtuoso travel partners, delivering deluxe itineraries, upgraded rooms, enhanced travel services, and valuable perks to my luxury travel clients.
Luxury travelers like you benefit from the Virtuoso network in several ways:
1.) I can customize client vacations with high-end, value-added travel components offered by Virtuoso travel partners. Virtuoso also arranges exclusive benefits for me to pass on to you. The relationships between me and partners forge through Virtuoso translate into a VIP experience for my clients.
2.) My clients can enjoy valuable yet complimentary perks. These could include valuable hotel "comps" such as rate discounts, room upgrades, executive club floor status, breakfast, cocktails, early check-in/late checkout, a bottle of wine or logo polo shirt, a resort activity such as golf, a treatment at the hotel spa. On a cruise ship, you could get a cabin upgrade, shipboard credits or vouchers, gifts, by-invitation-only parties, private port excursions.
3.) When flying, I can sometimes clinch special fares, upgrades, preferential seating, drink tickets, airport lounge access, VIP baggage handling, airport transfers or a car rental upgrade. Though this more so only for some business class & first class usually.
The Virtuoso hotel network I work with is extensive, numbering over a thousand luxury properties all over the world. Hotel brands participating in Virtuoso constitute a who’s who of luxury travel: Amanresorts, Anantara, Belmond, Canyon Ranch, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, InterContinental, Jumeirah, Mandarin Oriental, Oberoi, One&Only, Park Hyatt, Peninsula, Raffles, Relais & Chateaux, Ritz Carlton, St Regis, Setai, Six Senses, and other no-question luxury hotels.
Virtuoso's cruise partners include many of the world's top cruise lines, both conventional big ships and smaller, yacht-like craft. Virtuoso partners at sea include Azamara, Celebrity, Crystal, Norwegian, Oceania, Princess, Regent, Royal Caribbean, Seabourn, SeaDream, Silversea, Star Clippers and Viking.
The Virtuoso network also covers dozens of luxury tour operators like Abercrombie & Kent and Kensington Tours who organize upscale or unusual vacations and expeditions around the world.
